We are excited to announce that we have added a production facility to Mustard’s tie-making capabilities. Based in Brompton, Kent, the workroom employs ten full time staff including Ella Reader, our Production Director. Together the team produces an extremely high quality product with which many of you are familiar.
The decision reflects Mustard’s commitment to making ties of the highest quality. Increasing consumer awareness and demand for goods that support British manufacturing make this an exciting opportunity to develop an exclusive UK product.
The new bigger Mustard will need more in-house TLC so we have also co-opted Dawn Waldron, Chris’s wife, to direct the financial and marketing aspects of the business. With a degree in Management and an employment history in management consulting, she brings the skills we need to manage our growth.
This will allow Chris to spend even more time doing what he does so well: looking after our customers and helping ensure that your ties and other accessories are delivered on time, on spec and on budget.
This is a brave new venture which reflects our faith in UK manufacturing. We are confident that there is genuine desire and commitment among the British public to support the home economy, and recent trends suggest that British made ties are selling better than their foreign counterparts.
If we are to succeed we will need your backing. As you know, the early days of a new business are the most vulnerable in terms of cash flow. If you are able to place an order in the next few weeks you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are not only buying one of the best ties in the world but also supporting your country!
We look forward to many more happy years of working with you to produce gorgeous goods.
